G-Shock (Gravitational Shock) is a brand of watches manufactured by Casio, which is designed to resist mechanical shocks and vibrations. They are primarily designed for sports, military and outdoor-oriented activities. G-SHOCK watches have a distinct style, and nearly all have some kind of stopwatch feature, countdown time, and light and water resistance.

Since 1983, G-Shock has been setting the standards in toughness. Shock-resistant construction stands up to dropping and other rough treatment plus 200m water resistance.

New models have been released for the MT-G, featuring the inevitable functional beauty of fusing metal and resin, and TRIPLE G RESIST. The MTG-B1000 has been released, featuring a new shock-resistant structure and improved comfort through downsizing to a mid-size. G-SHOCK, known for its advanced shock-resistant technology, has developed a new shock-resistant structure exclusively for the new MT-G model. It utilizes the "New Core Guard Structure," which integrates the band connection point with a pipe to form a guard and constructs a box-shaped frame to protect the module. Additionally, by using carbon and resin materials for the center case that protects the module, it achieves a lightweight design while realizing further evolution in shock resistance. Strength has been ensured at the band connection point by combining durable fine resin components with metal materials. The connection point between the case and the band features a vibration-resistant structure that prevents band loosening by securing it with a screw using a metal pipe as an axis and rotating the connection point. In addition, by resizing the exterior structural components, we have achieved a mid-size for the first time in the MT-G series. We have realized downsizing with a case diameter of 3mm and a thickness of 2.5mm. Wearing comfort has been enhanced by applying this downsized case and a soft resin band. The edges of the metal components constituting the exterior have been mirror-polished, and each face has been finished with a hairline texture, pursuing the beauty of the finish that is the essence of a watch. Furthermore, by using highly transparent sapphire glass and employing the micro-machining technology of Casio's Yamagata factory to complete delicate finishing on the indices and in-dials, we have further elevated the quality. To improve time adjustment accuracy, a new module utilizing the "Connected Engine" is employed. It links with a smartphone via Bluetooth® communication to connect with the dedicated app "G-SHOCK Connected*" and retrieves accurate time information from internet time servers. In addition, it is equipped with Multi-Band 6, which supports standard radio waves from six countries worldwide, allowing for automatic or manual time adjustments based on the user's location without needing to be connected to a smartphone. By utilizing these two features, accurate time can be displayed anywhere in the world. The dedicated app "G-SHOCK Connected" offers simple settings for World Time, Timer, and Alarm Clock functions, as well as "Watch Status Display" and "User Attention Display" options, providing both product reliability and user peace of mind. Beyond time adjustment via smartphone connection and Multi-Band 6 functionality, the watch features practical functions such as a high-brightness LED light, World Time, and Stopwatch; these functions are reliably powered by Casio's proprietary solar power generation system, "Tough Solar." This marks the arrival of the further advanced New MT-G, featuring a unique shock-resistant structure fusing metal and resin, the beauty that is the essence of a watch, and the inclusion of a new module that pursues precise timekeeping accuracy.

    * When a watch is designed and manufactured to withstand up to 5 bar, such as accidental contact with splashes of water or rain, but it is not designed for wearing while swimming or diving. The absolute water resistance of a watch may not be permanently guaranteed. It may be affected by ageing of the gaskets, accidental impact on the crown or crystal and other external factors. Be sure to use the watch with the crown pressed in normal position. If your watch has a screw-type crown, be sure to tighten the crown completely to prevent moisture, water or dust penetrating in to the case.
