Brand details
The BOWMORE distillery was established in 1779 and is one Islay’s oldest distillery. The brand sticks to the floor malting method of making malt from the floor and use local peat from Islay. Sherry casks are mainly used, and this, along with low peat treatment compared to other sources, creates BOWMORE's unique character. It is most recommended as an introduction to Islay whiskey and is loved by many lovers for its timeless taste.
