Royal Salute was created in 1953 to honor the British Royal Family, and its first whiskey was released to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's historic accession to the throne. The name Royal Salute is inspired by the 21-gun salute fired at the Tower of London for royal ceremonies and is a sign of respect. Royal Salute celebrated special occasions with this meaningful whiskey and enjoyable moments, a tradition that continues to this day. Royal Salute is an excellent Scotch whiskey made only from whiskeys that have been aged for at least 21 years and has a deep and elegant taste.
