 'FOR YOUR TABLE, FLOORS AND BEYOND' Chilewich reinterprets the relationshop between nature and human health into the items. In 1997, textile designer Sandy Chilewich founded Chilewich in New York City. Sandy Chilewich continues to impress the design world by applying her interest in color and experimentation with fibers to create her signature textile, woven vinyl, in addition to many others which were not basically used for making placemats and floor mats at that time. In 2000 New York designer Sandy Chilewich introduced her first woven textiles to the international design community under the brand name "Chilewich." Each year her collection grows through her tireless experimentation and passion for different manufacturing techniques.

 

Her designs have transformed the way tables are dressed in homes and in restaurants around the world, garnering attention all around the world. Her floormats provided a clean modern alternative underfoot. Chillewich produce beautiful, durable and easy to clean placemats, indoor / outdoor mats and rugs for residential and commercial interiors. Restaurants and Hotels continue to turn to Chilewich for original, durable, easy to clean textile designs. In addition, officers from the Museum of modern Art in New York has selected Chilewich's items as one of the best items that they wishes to get for a gift.
