G-Shock (Gravitational Shock) is a brand of watches manufactured by Casio, which is designed to resist mechanical shocks and vibrations. They are primarily designed for sports, military and outdoor-oriented activities. G-SHOCK watches have a distinct style, and nearly all have some kind of stopwatch feature, countdown time, and light and water resistance.

Since 1983, G-Shock has been setting the standards in toughness. Shock-resistant construction stands up to dropping and other rough treatment plus 200m water resistance.

The MTG-B1000B has been released with improved wearing comfort by applying a new shock-resistant structure and downsizing to a mid-size. A new shock-resistant structure has been developed exclusively for the new model MT-G from G-SHOCK, which has always had advanced technology in shock-resistant structures. The "New Core Guard Structure" has been applied to create a guard by integrating the part connecting the band and the pipe, and to configure a box-shaped frame to protect the module. In addition, carbon and resin materials have been used for the center case material that protects the module, realizing lightweight and further shock-resistant evolution. The band connection part has a combination of durable fine resin parts and metal materials to secure strength. The case and band connection part have a vibration-resistant structure that prevents the band from loosening by fixing the metal pipe as an axis with screws and rotating the connection part. In addition, by resizing the size of the external structural parts, we have realized the first MID-SIZE in the MT-G series. We have realized a downsizing of the case diameter to 3 mm and the thickness to 2.5 mm. This downsized case and the application of a soft resin band have improved the wearing comfort. Each corner of the metal parts that make up the exterior are mirror-polished, and each side is subjected to hairline processing to pursue the beauty of the finish, which is the essence of the watch. In addition, by using highly transparent sapphire glass, we have further improved the quality by completing a delicate finish on the index and in-dial using the fine processing technology of Casio Yamagata Factory. In order to improve the accuracy of time adjustment, we have used the "Connected Engine" in the new module, and by linking with a smartphone via the Bluetooth® communication function, we connect to the dedicated app "G-SHOCK Connected ※" and obtain accurate time information from the Internet time server. In addition, it is equipped with multi-band 6 that supports the standard radio waves of 6 countries around the world, and you can automatically/manually correct the time at your location without connecting to a smartphone. By utilizing these two, you can display the exact time anywhere in the world. The dedicated app "G-SHOCK Connected" provides product reliability and user peace of mind with the "watch status display" or "user attention display" option, including simple settings of the world time/timer/alarm watch function. In addition to the time correction by linking with a smartphone and the multi-band 6 function, it is equipped with practical functions such as high-brightness LED light, world time, and stopwatch as main body functions, and these functions can be stably driven by Casio's original solar power generation system "tough solar".
